New! Section 1 Accredited E-Learning Program: Challenges of Lowering LDL-C: The Role of PCSK-9 |

This accredited educational program will describe current gaps in treatment to reduce LDL-C levels to suggested targets in patients at risk of cardiovascular events. Emerging therapies to reduce LDL-C will be reviewed, with a focus on the putative role pf PCSK9 in regulating LDL-C plasma levels. At the completion of this program, participants will be able to:
>> Remain vigilant in terms of the need to reach suggested plasma LDL-C targets in all partients >> Identify the investigational agents in clinical trials to lower plasma LDL-C >> Explain the putative role of PCS9 as a regulator of plasma LDL-C and early efforts investigating it's inhibition
